The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Ice picks:

Sunday's best NHL bets

Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers (+105, 5.5)

If there is one thing the Flyers know how to do, it’s beat the Rangers.

Philadelphia is 3-0 against New York this season, scoring a pair of 4-1 victories before the New Year and a 3-2 win last month in the Big Apple. The key in the wins for the Flyers has been the outstanding play of its defense and penalty kill.

In the losses, New York is a pathetic 1-12 on the man advantage. But then again, the Rangers haven’t been doing much scoring of any kind lately. The team is a mere 3-7 in its past 10 games. In the wins, the team has a combined 11 goals. In the losses, it has tallied a pathetic 12.

“When you look at your whole team lack a little bit of energy and juice, you have to wonder,” New York coach John Tortorella said. “But it wasn’t one or two persons, it was our whole group. We still didn’t generate a bunch of offense.”

Meantime, the Flyers give themselves a chance every night by being consistent on defense. Philadelphia has given up three or more goals just three times over its past 10 games and is yielding just 1.7 goals per game over that span.

Pick: Flyers

Montreal Canadiens at Calgary Flames (-145, 5)

It’s going to feel like a reunion tour for the Canadiens on Sunday night at the Heritage Classic. Undercut by a slew of recent injuries, the team is expecting as many as four players to return to action against the hot Flames.

Forward Mike Cammalleri (13 goals, 18 assists) has not played since Jan 18, but is expected to return from a separated shoulder. Defenders Hal Gill (shoulder), Paul Mara (trade) and Jaroslav Spacek (lower body) also are expected to suit up for the game.

“It depends on how my body reacts but, trust me, I would love to play in that game,” said Cammalleri early this week. “It’s good to be back with the guys. I was able to shoot some pucks.”

The Flames, meantime, are coming off big wins over offensively challenged Colorado and Dallas, but dropped their two prior games against Vancouver and Anaheim. And it’s not hard to see the difference. In the wins, Calgary notched two power play goals on just seven chances, but in the losses, the team was 0-for-6 on the man advantage.

And with the return of several very capable defenseman, the Montreal penalty kill should be more efficient than ever. On the season, the team is killing off 84.8 percent of its penalties, the sixth-best mark in the league.

Pick: Canadiens

Pick 'n' roll:

Sunday's best basketball bets

NBA

Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference (+1, 267.5)

These two sides have been about as evenly matched as possibly the past two decades. Despite a huge disparity in the depth of either conference, the star power matches up fairly evenly.

Since the 1990-91 season, the Eastern Conference leads the series 10-9. However, the Western Conference has been on the end of larger victories, owning an average score advantage of 130.8-126.5 over that span. There also have been plenty of close games in the series – just not many.

The East’s 141-139 win represented just the fourth time in 20 seasons that the game has been decided by a single basket. Over that span, only five meetings have been decided by fewer than 10 points. And in a game with so many intangibles, it will be interesting to see how new teammates play with each other.

"We'll be rivals once again when we walk out of here," the Heat’s LeBron James said. "But for right now, we're trying to win for each other."

But one very interesting note to watch will be the way the Los Angeles crowd reacts to the game. L.A. fans loathe the Heat, Knicks and Boston – teams whose players make up eight of 12 slots on the East. Meantime, Los Angeles will have hometown boys Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Blake Griffin to go nuts over.

It might be a small edge, but in an expectedly tight game, it’s all the advantage one side needs.

Pick: Western Conference

South Alabama Jaguars at Denver Pioneers (-10)

The Pioneers won’t contend for a national title, but that doesn’t mean the team can’t help fatten bettors bank rolls. Denver is 11-3 SU and 8-4 ATS in lined home games this season, including covering in each of their past five games. Playing at altitude does have some advantages.

"It's good to be back in the driver's seat," Denver junior guard Brian Stafford said. "Our focus is on ourselves. It's not about the other team. It's about doing what we need to do to get better."

The team’s resurgence and defensive burst has been led by freshman Chris Udofia. The forward leads the team in blocks (33) and rebounds per game (4.4) as he uses a 6-foot-6 frame and 7-foot wingspan to create mismatches.

And the Jaguars don’t have a huge margin for error. South Alabama has dropped three straight and seven of 10 overall. The team also is 0-8 ATS in its last eight trips to Denver as the home team is 14-2 ATS in the team’s past 16 meetings.

The team’s defense also isn’t doing it any favors. Over the past three games, the Jaguars are letting opponents shoot an average of 53.8 percent from the floor and score nearly 80 points per game. Not good for a team that won’t be doing much scoring of its own in Colorado.

"It's not that we can't guard," said South Alabama coach Ronnie Arrow. "We just don't do it consistently for 40 minutes."

Pick: Denver

Bettors' best friend (BBF): Sunday's wagering tips

Injury of interest

Mikko Koivu, Minnesota Wild: The Wild captain left Friday’s 5-1 win over Anaheim and didn’t return after blocking a shot. The team is already concerned that a hand injury could sideline Koivu for a while and he has already been ruled out of Sunday’s contest against the Detroit Red Wings. Koivu, who is tied for the team lead in scoring with 49 points, will be re-evaluated on Monday. "You lose a guy like we did, everyone's got to step up their game and try to fill in as much as you can," said Kyle Brodziak.

Key trends

NCAAB: Ohio State has covered seven of its last nine trips to Purdue and is 13-5-1 ATS in its last 19 matchups with the Boilermakers.

NCAAB: Georgia Tech has dropped four straight against the number heading into Sunday’s matchup with Duke, which has covered four of its last five.

NCAAB: Temple has won seven straight games straight up and has covered in eight of its last nine meetings with St. Joseph’s.

NHL: Detroit has won four straight games heading into Sunday’s contest with Minnesota. All four of those wins have played over the total.

NHL: Washington has lost four of its last five games, with all four losses playing under the total. The Capitals have won just three of their last 10 games in Buffalo.

NHL: Philadelphia has won its last four meetings with the New York Rangers, who have won only twice over their last nine games.

Number of note

3 – Despite lofty totals the books are forced to set for the annual NBA All-Star game, three of the last four affairs have played over the total. The West is putting up more than 133 points per game over the last seven while the East checks in at 129.

Notes and tips

Purdue is out for revenge with Ohio State coming to town on Sunday. The Buckeyes hammered the Boilermakers 87-64 as 7.5-point favorite a few weeks ago and led by as many as 30 points in the second half. Expect Sunday’s meeting to be a lot tighter. Purdue sits just two games back of the Buckeyes and will benefit from playing in front of its home court. The Boilermakers have covered in each of their last four at home.

Chemistry could be a major factor in Sunday’s NBA All-Star game. The East is set as a 1-point favorite and is expected to roll out all four Celtics on one unit while trying to get the three members of the Miami Heat on the floor together as much as possible as well. In a game where the extra pass is paramount, this could be a major edge for the East.

Sunday’s Daytona 500 features a newly-paved track that has been widened from two to three lanes. The new surface has drivers changing their strategies for the big race. Instead of seeing clumps of cars packed together, expect to see the drivers pair off as they rip around the track. “Who would have thought in a million years spending $20 million on improvements would create some headaches for you where you have to make some pretty major adjustments like they’ve been having to do all week long?” said Clint Bowyer. Kevin Harvick is set as a +700 favorite for Sunday’s race.

Game of the day: Ohio State at Purdue

Ohio State Buckeyes at Purdue Boilermakers (-1.5, 136)

THE STORY: A Big Ten title race that hasn't been close all season could finally get interesting when No. 3 Ohio State hits the road Sunday afternoon to face No. 11 Purdue in a clash of the league's top teams. A victory by the second-place Boilermakers would close the Buckeyes' lead to one game with four left to play. Purdue will also be looking to avenge its most lopsided defeat of the season, an 87-64 pasting in Columbus Jan. 25. Additionally, the game features the two leading candidates for conference player of the year honors - Purdue senior center JaJuan Johnson and OSU freshman forward Jared Sullinger.

TV: 1 p.m. ET, CBS

ODDS: Purdue opened as a 2-point home favorite and was bet down to 1.5. The total opened at 136 points.

ABOUT PURDUE (21-5, 10-3 Big Ten, 15-8-0 ATS): The Boilermakers have won four of their last five, avenging the lone defeat by topping No. 10 Wisconsin, 70-62, on Wednesday behind 20 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots from Johnson. Purdue is seventh nationally in assist-turnover ratio (1.51) and ninth in turnovers per game (10.7). Johnson leads the Big Ten in scoring (20.7 ppg) and blocked shots (2.31), while senior guard E'Twaun Moore is fifth in scoring (17.9). The Boilermakers own a 15-game home winning streak, including a perfect 14-0 mark at Mackey Arena this season.

ABOUT OHIO STATE (25-1, 12-1, 11-12-0 ATS): The Buckeyes rebounded from their first loss of the season, against Wisconsin, by pulling away in the closing minutes for a 71-61 victory over Michigan State Tuesday. Ohio State leads the Big Ten in scoring (77.2) and scoring margin (18.7), shooting percentage (49.5), steals (7.5) and turnover margin (5.81). Sullinger heads an extremely balanced attack with 17.8 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, while three Buckeye guards are scoring in double figures - junior guard William Buford (13.9), senior David Lighty (12.3) and senior Jon Diebler (11.1). Diebler is among the nation's top 3-point shooters, hitting 46.7 percent from long range.

WHO'S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Johnson is averaging 22.8 points over Purdue's last 10 games, scoring 20 or more in nine of those contests ... Buford has 44 points over the last two games. Sullinger had a career-low two rebounds against Michigan State after posting three consecutive double-doubles.

KEY STATISTIC: Purdue has won 38 consecutive games when scoring at least 70 points and is the only team this season to hit that mark against Wisconsin. Ohio State has surrendered 70 or more just twice, going 1-1 in those games.

RECENT HISTORY: Buford led six players in double figures with 19 points and Sullinger added 17 and seven rebounds in the rout earlier this season. Johnson scored 22 points and Moore 16, but the Boilermakers hit just 38 percent from the floor while the Buckeyes shot 55.2 percent, including 11 of 19 from the arc. Purdue has won three of the last five, including a two-game sweep in 2009, but Ohio State defeated the Boilermakers, 70-66, last year in West Lafayette.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Buckeyes return to Columbus for a two-game homestand, hosting Illinois Tuesday and Indiana on Feb. 27. Purdue faces road games at Indiana Wednesday and Michigan State Feb. 27.

LAST WORD: Ohio State has dominated the series when it's been good, posting a 22-4 record against Purdue when ranked in the top-25.

TRENDS:

- Buckeyes are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Purdue.
- Buckeyes are 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings.
- Underdog is 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings.

NHL Heritage Classic betting preview: Canadiens at Flames

Montreal Canadiens at Calgary Flames (-145, 5)

The Heritage Classic is the second outdoor event of this NHL season, pitting the Montreal Canadiens against the Calgary Flames at McMahon Stadium in Calgary Sunday night.

For the Canadiens, this is their second Heritage Classic, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton back in November 2003. Temperatures for that event dipped to -22 degrees with the wind chill.

The weather for this Sunday’s game will be a bit warmer, with temperatures expected to fall to around 5 degrees. And, unlike the Winter Classic in Pittsburgh on New Year’s Day, the Heritage Classic will avoid rain and snow.

"Personally, I'll prepare like it's a road game," Flames captain Jarome Iginla told the media. "You don't know exactly the way the boards or the glass is going to be.

"You're not exactly used to it. It's almost like a neutral setting with everybody not knowing the ice."

Flame on

Calgary has battled hard all season and is beginning to see the fruits of its labor. The Flames have won 12 of their last 17 outings, including back-to-back wins over Colorado and Dallas heading into Sunday’s game.

That run his lifted Calgary to second in the Northwest Division, at 30-22-3-5, but still doesn’t have them locked into a postseason spot. It is currently tied with four teams in the middle of the Western Conference pack at 68 points, but placed ninth with those other clubs having a game in hand.

The Flames have been filling up the net in recent wins, averaging more than four goals per game in the past 10 outings. They rank ninth in the league in scoring, posting 2.9 goals on 30.5 shots per game.

A big spark for their offense is the play of winger Curtis Glencross, who has recorded seven goals in the past eight games and has 12 points in his last nine outings. Glencross has 19 goals on the season and is sixth on the team in points with 31 heading into the Heritage Classic.

“It’s finally where you want to be. It’s one of them things where I’ve been striving (for 20 goals) the last couple of years and injuries have brought me away from it,” he told reporters. “It’s actually nice to meet that goal and hopefully defeat it. That’s all you can ask for as a player.”

Hab-hazard

Montreal stumbles into the Heritage Classic, picking up just one win in its last six games. The Canadiens blanked rival Toronto 3-0 last weekend but followed that win with a shootout loss to Buffalo Tuesday and a 4-1 defeat to Edmonton Thursday night.

Thankfully, for the Habs, sniper Mike Cammalleri is scheduled to return to the lineup Sunday, just in time for the Heritage Classic. Cammalleri, who has 13 goals and 18 assists, has missed the past month with a separated shoulder.

"When I first got hurt I didn't know the time frame. Then, (the Classic) seemed so far down the road that I didn't even think of it,” he told reporters this week. “As the time got closer and closer, though, I obviously didn't want to miss it. And now we're good enough to go.

"I'm just happy to be back. It's been a while. This is a special weekend. I'm going to try to take it all in, for sure.

Cammalleri is no stranger to Cow Town, playing one season with the Flames back in 2008-09. He’s also no stranger to outdoor games, either. Cammalleri played at the University of Michigan, taking on rival Michigan State in the “Cold War” outdoor game back in 2001.

Montreal will also welcome defenseman Paul Mara to the lineup Sunday. He was acquired from Anaheim this week for a fifth-round draft pick, helping the Habs bolster a banged-up blueline. Mara played with the Canadiens last season, tallying eight assists in 42 games before signing a one-year deal with the Ducks.

"Paul is a good pick up for us because he knows our system, knows most of the guys," goaltender Carey Price told the media. "There's no real adjustment period. He knows everything about this organization already."

Trends

- Home team is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings.
- Over is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings in Calgary.
- Over is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings.
- Canadiens are 0-4 in the last four meetings in Calgary.
- The last five outdoor NHL games (four Winter Classics, one Heritage Classic) and boast and average total of 5.4 goals.

NBA All-Star Game: What bettors need to know

Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference (+1, 267.5)

The balance of power and player talent between the NBA’s two conferences is no longer uneven like Reggie Miller’s old fade hairdo. Thanks to some good drafting and free-agent acquisitions, the East’s A-list of All-Stars has never been stronger – at least not in the post-Michael Jordan years.

Here’s a look each conference’s roster and which side has the edge at each position:

Point guard

Derrick Rose gets my vote for MVP but even with the Chicago Bulls third-year guard, the East come up a little short in this department. Rajon Rondo is the only true backup to Rose but coach Doc Rivers could easily use LeBron James or Joe Johnson to run the point in a pinch.

The fans voted Chris Paul as the starter but the West gets the nod in this category because of CP3’s teammates on the bench. Gregg Popovich can rest easy handing the keys over to Deron Williams or Russell Westbrook.

Paul is a natural distributor while Rose’s first instinct is to attack and look for his own shot. The normal flow in an All-Star game is to get everyone else involved early, which will be easy for Paul but not quite as simple for Rose.

Edge: West

Wing players

The West’s starting trio of Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant is hard to top but bettors should keep in mind that that these three players don’t exactly complement each other well. Each guy’s best skill is shooting the rock – not passing it. Kobe and Melo did have terrific chemistry while playing on Team USA, though.

Meanwhile the East’s dynamic duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have a half season of playing together under their belts and seem to know the best places to find each other. Joe Johnson and Ray Allen will see most of the action backing these two up while Rivers tries to rest his banged up star Paul Pierce.

The West only true wing player off the pine is Manu Ginobili, although, some would argue that 7-footer Dirk Nowitzki is more small than power at the forward position because of his reluctance to post up or rebound.

Edge: East

Big men

For years this is the one area the East couldn’t match its opponents. The West had the better frontcourt for what seemed like more than a decade. Well, the times they are a changing.

Popovich announced Tim Duncan will start in place of the injured Yao Ming as the West’s center. Rookie Blake Griffin is sure to get lots of minutes and alley-oop attempts while Kevin Love and Pau Gasol are the other two bigs who’ll man the paint for the West.

The East, meanwhile, possess the league’s best center (Dwight Howard), the best power forward (Amare Stoudemire) and the favorite to win this season’s Defensive Player of the Year award (Kevin Garnett). And that’s not even mentioning Chris Bosh and Al Horford.

Edge: East

Notes to know:

There have been whispers about Stoudemire possibly sitting out the All-Star Game on Sunday to rest his ailing body. The Knicks have him playing a ton of minutes and there’s no doubt he’d love a weekend to get some rest. Keep your ears open.

Rivers has acknowledged he’ll likely use his four Celtic players as a second unit off the bench. The chemistry there should help the East and don’t forget it’s not just the C’s with a healthy share of players on this team, there should be good flow anytime Rivers puts Miami’s All-Star trio out onto the court too.

Trends

The two sides have split the contest over the last four years but total bettors will be happy to know the over is 3-0-1 in those last four matchups.

Prediction: East 142, West 128
